The Understanding good health teaching resource was developed through a partnership between NSW Adult Migrant English Service (AMES) and Sydney and South Western Sydney Local Health Networks. This resource is designed for use with young people and women with low literacy levels, to integrate awareness of health issues into English as a second language programs.
The activities here are based on the approach widely adopted for preventative health programs. These health programs are aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of major health issues that are common in society today.
