Finding Work: Beginner is an English language resource to help students understand the processes of jobseeking and to develop the language they need to seek and obtain employment. Unit 1 provides information about work in Australia, including employment sectors and categories, employment conditions, leave, pay and starting work. Units 2 to 5 follow a range of characters who are looking for work in different employment contexts. In the DVD sequences the characters go though jobseeking processes including: defining goals describing skills and experience enlisting help finding out about jobs applying for jobs getting a job interview learning about workplaces preparing for and attending an interview starting work The activities help students develop the language they need to engage in their own job search.
