MEM05038B Perform advanced geometric development - Cylindrical / rectangular is a trade level unit of competency in the MEM05 Metal and Engineering Training Package and available in Certificate III to Diploma Advanced Trade qualifications.

This learner resource focuses on developing the knowledge and skilled required performing advanced marking out skills using parallel line development. It can be applied to marking out complex cylindrical/rectangular sheetmetal fabrications used for ventilation ducting, air-conditioning and cylindrical components and for plate and/or pipe fabrications used for ducting, extraction and piping work. This resource aims to develop the learner’s knowledge to estimate and economically mark out material to form complex shapes. There are a number of relevant practical jobs simulating typical industry applications which have been specifically designed to help learners mark out and fabricate complex cylindrical/rectangular shapes using parallel line development.
